How To - Working with Alerts

The Alerts feature allows you to set up automated staff notifications and escalations to ensure timely service and table turnover.

Some examples of alerts that can be configured include:

  • Notify staff after 3 minutes if a newly seated table has not placed a drink order

  • Escalate to a manager after 5 minutes if the drink order is still not taken

  • Alert staff 3 minutes after a bill has been printed to prompt payment

  • Prompt staff 5 minutes after a bill has been paid to clean and reset the table

These automated alerts and escalations help keep staff on top of service tasks without relying solely on manual monitoring. The business can customise the alert triggers and messages to match their desired service standards.

Alerts are also sent out to iServe as notifications. Where alerts are defined for multiple course combinations, for example Desserts/Coffee, when the highest priority item from the course combination is rung up, Tables will automatically switch to this status.
